On July 16th 2015 Visual Meta GmbH opened its doors and presented a special tech meetup during Tech Open Air 2015 (toa.berlin). Taking place within TOA, the multi-disciplinary Tech Festival (15-17 July 2015 at Alte Teppichfabrik), was held over two days with 150 “Satellite Events” at various companies with talks ranging across many topics. Unlike the other events, Visual Meta presented a special topic titled „World class scaling of IT infrastructure – how Git Flow and Hadoop can help“. The two lectures were led by Wesley Connor and Marco Kunze and attended by 45 developers. They explained, that by using Git Flow and Hadoop together, a growing company such as Visual Meta can overcome the challenge of providing an IT infrastructure that also offers opportunities for growth. The practical and detailed presentation was highly appreciated by the participants.

After the event the participants were able to discuss the insightful speeches on the rooftop terrace at Visual Meta over pizza and beer. The aim of this event was to advance the professional exchange within the innovative Berlin tech community and to present interesting topics at Visual Meta GmbH.
